Project: FOUN098: Designing Your Bucknell
Faculty: Mick Smyer
DP&S Liaison: Emily Sherwood
Date: Fall 2017
This fall, Professor Mick Smyer taught two sections of a Foundation Seminar for first year students called “Designing My Bucknell.” The course utilized Design Thinking approaches to help students learn practical tools and ideas to make the most of their Bucknell experience. For the culminating project, students developed ePortfolios using WordPress that they will be able to use during their time at Bucknell and after graduation. The ePortfolio project asked students to reflect on their various engagements and helped students articulate how their experiences inside and outside of the classroom help shape who they are and who they want to be.
