Course: International Relations: Culture, Power, and Identity
Faculty: Ron Smith
DP&S Liaison: Brianna Healey Derr
Date: Fall 2017
In this International Relations course, students produced 5-minute digital essays that focused on representations of culture and linked them to the questions of identity and power in the Middle East. The digital essay is comprised of images and audio. Resources were found on-line, screen captured, and then edited in Apple’s FinalCut Pro X. The assignment introduced students to digital, visual, and media literacy skills as well as learning to communicate with multimedia elements.
